| Kambayoka Artists' Resource Training System The Kambayoka Artists’ Resource Training System (ARTS) Outreach, Incorporated, is a non-stock, non-profit, cultural organization, registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Cagayan de Oro Extension Office, Philippines on August 2, 2001 with SEC registration number H2001-00409. When the National Commission for Culture and the Arts conducted Kinasang-an (Cultural Workers Forum) on June 22-24, 2001 in Cagayan de Oro City, it was dramatically observed that most of the delegations/head of the groups who participated in the forum are alumni of the Sining Kambayoka Ensembe. Aside from the Forum’s formal topic were endless discussions and meetings among the alumni and the need for unification, networking, federation and conglomeration of the already formed groups - were words repeatedly and vibrantly echoed, thus the name Kambayoka (ARTS) Artists’ Resource Training System Outreach, Incorporated was given birth. The members are mostly alumni of the MSU-Sining Kambayoka, including the members of the created groups and other associates who have been able to attend seminar-workshops and productions conducted by Kambayoka. The members agreed to continue to learn and share their time, talent and treasure; to carry out the mission of a cultural revision with the belief on the role of active theater or cultural activities comes the development of the innate creativity that is building one’s capability to change and create for himself and his community a new identity – a Filipino identity. VISION A unified theater groups based in the schools, community, church, civic and youth organizations promoting the assertion of a new Filipino based on understanding of a diversified culture. MISSION/GOALS · Promote the Kambayoka Theater Form through cultural presentations and through the use of “group improvisational process”; · Preserve and conserve through cultural presentations; the dances, songs and music, courtships, rituals of the Muslim-Filipinos and of the different tribal groups in the Philippines; · Conduct trainings, seminar-workshop on Creative Drama, Music & Sounds, Dance and Movements, Scriptwriting and Visual Arts; · Promote, organize and establish the creation of Theater, Dance and/or Ethno- based Music Groups in the community; · Develop using indigenous arts, theater forms and music that can establish a tradition of its own and popularize them into a Filipino Theater Form and the like; · To showcase theatrical performances and arts, invite local, regional, national and international performing groups thereby exposing and elevating the aesthetic sensibilities of the members and the community at large. · Gather various cultural or theater groups and other relevant interested sectors for synchronization of efforts towards the assertion and development of the national culture. · Build a comprehensive databank on the Philippine arts and culture. · To organize and act as a Supra Performing Group.
