Kuglong ag Salurai
Kuglong Salurai is a courtship dance from the Matigsalog tribe of the Bukidnon
province in the Philippines. Kuglong is a two stringed instrument while Salurai
is a bamboo zither composed of several strings carved out of a bamboo.

Our strategic vision is to be recognized as a promoter of the Sining
Kambayoka’s Kambayoka Theater Form
Mission
Kuglong Salurai is an organization whose ongoing mission is to
increase public awareness of culture & arts of Mindanao
(Philippines) thru the (KTF) Kambayoka Theater Form.
To fulfill this mission Kuglong Salurai is committed to:
1. Support other cultural groups in providing public awareness
of Mindanao’s colorful culture thru music & dances.
2. Promote folklore and traditions of the people of Mindanao
(Southern Philippines) by creating artistic performances & plays thru
KTF.
3. Creating educational opportunities for individuals specifically
Filipino-Americans to learn about their roots & heritage thru KTF
workshops & trainings.
4. Involve individuals who are willing to explore & experience the
joy of performing live thru the Kambayoka Theater Form.
Goals
1. Support festivals & events that promotes culture and arts.
2. Inspire professionals to take time to be involved in promoting
Mindanao culture.
3. Broaden the network of artists & organization and to promote
resource sharing and help for theatrical and cultural activities.
4. Creating performances that will entertain audiences as well
educate them.
